The Hybrid Bloom started with a metal wall piece I bought — but I knew almost immediately I didn't want to leave it the way it was.
I removed the original center and completely rebuilt the composition:
◆ The Frame & Mesh: Combined the circular frame with diamond-pattern steel mesh rescued from a metal supply store scrap bin.
◆ The Bouquet: Reworked the dramatic golden bloom and green palm-like leaves into a new botanical composition.
◆ The Foundation: Welded in an old candleholder base to give the piece height, balance, and a freestanding silhouette.
The transformation isn't about any single material. It's about taking unrelated elements apart, rearranging them, and welding them back together until they feel like they were always meant to belong.
Same metal. Completely different story.
