Rect-Plenty started with a box of identical steel shop leftovers — simple rectangles with no obvious purpose on their own.
◆ The Pieces: I began stacking and shifting the rectangles at different angles, looking for the point where rigid geometry could suddenly feel unpredictable.
◆ The Balance: Each piece was welded into position to create the illusion of a chain reaction — like a row of steel dominoes caught just before the fall.
◆ The Result: Twenty pounds of solid steel that looks almost impossibly off-balance while staying firmly grounded.
