The Heavy Petal started with a single thrifted wall piece I couldn't leave behind — a large ornate metal flower with serious visual weight.
◆ The Problem: It was made to hang on a wall, but it deserved to stand on its own. ◆ The Solution: I welded a heavy steel base to the back, giving the piece the foundation it needed to become a freestanding sculpture. ◆ The Result: A bold floral form that stands 23 inches tall and carries the presence of something much larger.
