Garden Gate Bloom — Original Metal Sculpture

Industrial and organic at the same time — this one looks like something that grew through a garden gate and refused to stop.

The base was pulled from the trash bin at a metal market — a flat steel plate with a channel profile underneath, solid and grounded. The stem is a leftover steel rod, straight and purposeful.

Beside it, a leftover lattice panel — the kind of diamond-grid trellis you'd find on a garden fence — welded into place as a backdrop. And climbing at its base, a raw torn leaf cut from leftover sheet metal, edges left intentional and rough.

The bloom at the top is the centerpiece: sheet metal worked and shaped by torch and cutters, heated, bent, and coaxed into a wide organic flower with a raised center. No mold, no template — just fire, steel, and hands.

Nothing here was bought new. Everything here was saved, transformed, and made permanent.
